"Smoke Dope and Rap" by Andre Nickatina

by Stephen Dodson
This song pretty much is as close to a mental teleportation machine to my days in high school as is feasible. I probably have listened to this song more than any other in my lifetime, if you include spontaneous a capella versions by my friends. The only real thing I have in common with topics discussed in the song is an affinity for our hometown, San Francisco. Fillmore Street comes up pretty often in his songs, causing me to look for a "skinny 6-5 muthaf*cka" when I walk or drive by Fillmore and McAllister. Favorite line: "I love to tell the truth but I'm such a good liar."
